Italian singer-songwriter Carlo Audino returns with “Dimme Tu,” a new single performed in the Romanesco dialect that blends irony, authenticity, and a heartfelt reflection on the meaning of life.
Set against vivid images of Rome from its winding streets and nighttime lights to maritozzi, porchetta, and glasses of wine, the song embraces a simple but powerful philosophy: life is meant to be lived fully, without compromises, even in the face of its fragility.
“Dimme Tu” moves effortlessly between humorous, light-hearted moments and more introspective passages, as its protagonist confronts his own mortality while refusing to live a life that feels “scondita” bland, empty, or stripped of its flavor.
Romanesco becomes more than a dialect in Audino’s hands. It serves as a powerful language of identity and expression, transforming a deeply personal story into something universal and relatable.

Recorded at EiA Studios in Lariano, Rome, the track showcases Audino’s versatility as a musician. He performs guitars, bass, keyboards, kazoo, drums, and backing vocals, while also handling the arrangements. Samuel Fioramonti contributes accordion, with Sabrina Seaside serving as art director.
Born in 1964, Carlo Audino began playing guitar in 1979, following in the footsteps of his father, Antonio. Within months, he started writing his own songs, drawing inspiration from Italian singer-songwriters, particularly Ivan Graziani, Lucio Battisti, and Mango.
Over the following years, Audino performed at numerous festivals and music competitions, connecting with fellow emerging artists. In 1996 and 1997, he attended the Accademia della Canzone di Sanremo, alongside a young and then relatively unknown Tiziano Ferro.
Audino later established his own recording studio, developing his skills as an arranger and sound engineer while continuing to perform with various bands and as part of a duo in piano bars and pubs across Rome and its surrounding areas, as well as in Milan, London, and Kent in the UK.
In 2012, a serious road accident left Audino disabled and forced him to radically adapt his guitar technique. Through determination and his enduring love for music, he found a way to continue playing.
Since 2021, Audino has been releasing his own music. In 2025, he became a finalist in the Marche in…Canto competition, while in 2026 he performed at Sanremo Unlimited during Casa Sanremo.
Audino’s music is rooted in reality, combining irony, dialect, and introspection to explore everyday life and its contradictions. His songs emerge from the streets, people, experiences, and stories that surround him, constantly balancing humor with deeper reflection.
