Nigerian Afrofusion star Omah Lay has released an expanded edition of his sophomore album, Clarity of Mind, titled Clarity of Mind Extended, adding four previously unreleased songs and introducing exciting collaborations with international artists Gunna and Tiakola.
Released through Sire Records and Warner Records, the 16-track edition gives fans more of the introspective sound and personal storytelling that shaped the original album while taking his musical exploration in new directions.
Among the additions is “Back to Lagos,” featuring multi-platinum American rapper Gunna. The collaboration finds Omah Lay reflecting on fame, ambition and the realities that come with achieving long-held dreams. Gunna brings his signature melodic rap delivery to the record, complementing Omah Lay’s atmospheric vocals.
The extended album also welcomes French rapper Tiakola on “Take,” a hypnotic record exploring the need to break away from material distractions. Elsewhere, “Keep Going” delivers an uplifting message about perseverance over subtle dance-inspired production, while “Holy Ghost Fire,” produced by Lekaa Beats, offers a more stripped-back musical arrangement built around keys, guitar and violin.
With these additions, Omah Lay continues to explore the different dimensions of his artistry, moving between Afro-fusion, alternative and electronic influences while maintaining the emotional honesty that has become a defining part of his music.
The original Clarity of Mind album represented an important turning point for the singer, arriving as his first full-length project since 2022’s Boy Alone. The release explored the complicated relationship between personal ambition, spirituality, temptation and the pursuit of happiness, presenting a more reflective side of the Nigerian hitmaker.
Its commercial performance further reinforced his international appeal. The album placed 12 songs simultaneously on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, marking a personal best for the singer. It also debuted at No. 8 on the World Albums chart and reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Top Albums debut chart.
The project followed Omah Lay’s 2026 GRAMMY nomination alongside Davido for their collaboration “With You,” adding to an impressive period in his career.
Across the original album, tracks such as “I Am,” “Holy Ghost,” “Waist,” “Don’t Love Me” and “Artificial Happiness” offered different perspectives on the singer’s internal struggles, personal growth and evolving understanding of success. The extended edition builds on that foundation without moving away from the project’s central themes.
With more than 3.8 billion streams on Spotify alone and an expanding list of international collaborations, Omah Lay continues to establish himself as one of Afrobeats’ most distinctive global voices.
Now expanded to 16 tracks, Clarity of Mind Extended offers another opportunity to experience the singer’s evolving sound, with four additional records adding fresh perspectives to an album rooted in self-discovery, emotional freedom and personal growth.
Clarity of Mind Extended is available now on all major digital streaming platforms via Sire Records and Warner Records.
