Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter MOLIY has officially launched her campaign for the 2027 Grammy Awards, submitting two of her most prominent recent releases for Recording Academy consideration.

The breakout global star has entered submissions across two distinct categories:

The submission for Best African Music Performance highlights “Body Go,” a high-energy collaboration pairing MOLIY with South African sensation Tyla. Blending Afrobeats, Amapiano rhythms, and dancehall influences, the single received widespread acclaim upon its release.

Meanwhile, her submission for Best Global Music Album puts forward BADDIES <3 MOLIY, her ambitious 12-track mixtape released through gamma. The project showcases MOLIY’s signature genre-bending sound—fusing Afropop, dancehall, futuristic pop, and reggaeton—and features guest appearances from international heavyweights including Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie, dancehall star Shenseea, and Skillibeng.

MOLIY’s For Your Consideration (FYC) announcement marks another major milestone in a career defined by rapid global expansion. Having previously gained worldwide prominence through her feature on the viral hit “Sad Girlz Luv Money” alongside Amaarae and Kali Uchis, MOLIY has consistently cemented her status as one of West Africa’s primary musical exports.

Official nominations for the 2027 Grammy Awards will be determined by voting members of the Recording Academy following the conclusion of the eligibility and first-round voting periods.
