New York guitarist Tony Catania today releases “Paris (French),” the standout cinematic finale from his new EP A Little Bit of This & That. The track features the enchanting guest vocals of Parisian singer Galite and bridges Catania’s raw, jazz- and blues-infused instrumental guitar work with timeless Parisian elegance.
A staple of the New York scene since his days as founding leader of Rising Sun, Catania built a high-octane career as lead guitarist for Jason Bonham and JBLZE, and as songwriter for the Jason Bonham Band (notably the 1997 album When You See The Sun).
He has shared stages with numerous rock legends and previously collaborated with legendary engineer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones). With A Little Bit of This & That, Catania reveals another side of his artistry, blending the organic textures of jazz, blues, and classical guitar with modern synth soundscapes.
“Paris (French)” serves as the emotional and stylistic climax of the EP. Neat guitar arrangements tinged with blues and jazz fusion meet authentic Parisian poetry delivered by Galite’s vocals, creating a cultural bridge between the energy of American rock and jazz and the refined elegance of French song. The track is available in both English and French versions.
The entire project was mastered by multi-Grammy Award-winning engineer Vlado Meller, whose four-decade résumé includes work with Paul McCartney, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, and many others.
