Ghanaian Highlife artist Josh Blakk is taking his music to European audiences with his upcoming Live in Europe: The HighLife Sunday Service Tour, a six-date run across Berlin and Frankfurt, Germany, throughout October and November 2026.
The tour marks Josh Blakk’s first sustained live run in Europe, giving audiences an opportunity to experience his take on Highlife through a series of performances in different venues and settings. With stops planned across two major German cities, the singer is looking to introduce more listeners to his sound while creating meaningful connections with the Ghanaian and wider African music communities abroad.
The tour is supported by funding from the European Union and delivered in partnership with the Goethe-Institut, Expertise France Groupe AFD and Institut Français. The collaboration brings institutional support to the project as Josh Blakk takes Ghanaian Highlife to new audiences beyond the continent.
The schedule begins in Berlin on Thursday, October 29, with a performance at Extravaganza. He returns to the city on Wednesday, November 4, for Cassette Heads, before heading to Frankfurt for three consecutive dates. These include Flavor of Africa on Thursday, November 5, Roots & Highlife on Friday, November 6, and Catch Me on Saturday, November 7.
Berlin will host the tour’s final event on Friday, November 13, at Dom Wilka, where Josh Blakk will hold a live album listening session. The event will give fans their first opportunity to experience his new project in full within a live setting.
Rather than following one performance format throughout, The HighLife Sunday Service Tour moves between different venues and audience experiences, ranging from club and festival-style appearances to a dedicated album listening event. This variety gives the tour room to showcase different sides of Josh Blakk’s artistry while keeping Highlife at its centre.
For Josh Blakk, the European run represents an important step in taking his music beyond Ghana and building a stronger international live presence. It also creates an opportunity to share the sounds and spirit of Ghanaian Highlife with audiences who may be discovering his music for the first time.
With six dates across Berlin and Frankfurt, The HighLife Sunday Service Tour is set to bring a taste of Ghanaian Highlife to Germany this autumn.
