Massachusetts-born, Los Angeles-based hip-hop artist and visual creator Souleye is out with his new single, Honey Bee, adding another dimension to an already genre-fluid creative journey.
Known for his rapid-fire flows, introspective storytelling, and expansive approach to production, Souleye has spent more than two decades developing a sound that moves between underground hip-hop, spirituality, philosophy, and personal transformation. With Honey Bee, he explores a new rhythmic space while continuing his interest in music that connects different ideas and cultures.
Souleye’s artistry has always extended beyond conventional hip-hop boundaries. His music often examines consciousness, resilience, fatherhood, spirituality, healing and the ongoing process of creative growth. Those themes have shaped projects including Wildman, Soul School, Hunting Teardrops and Floating in Plasma.
The new single adds another layer to that catalogue. Rather than treating genre as a fixed boundary, Souleye has built his career around experimentation and personal expression, making Honey Bee a natural extension of his willingness to explore different sonic environments.
His creative journey is also expanding toward his upcoming 2026 album, Coloring The Cosmos. The 15-track project is produced by Eko Zu and features collaborations with underground hip-hop figures including Abstract Rude, Myka 9, Mistah F.A.B., Lyrics Born and Afu-Ra.
Beyond music, Souleye has developed a parallel career as a visual artist. His sacred geometry-inspired paintings are connected to his albums and live experiences, creating another way for him to explore the ideas that run through his music.
That visual work has become part of a larger approach to performance and storytelling. Through immersive performances and Souleye Fest events, he continues to combine sound, art and visual experiences rather than treating each medium as a separate world.
This multidimensional approach has become central to Souleye’s identity. He operates as a lyricist, painter, mystic and futurist, using each discipline to explore ideas around human experience and creative evolution.
With Honey Bee, Souleye continues that exploration through a new lens. The release adds another chapter to the story of an independent artist who has spent years building his own creative universe rather than following a predetermined formula.
