Puerto Rican reggaeton veteran Randy Nota Loca is back with a special new single, Soñando, bringing together two established names from the genre as he teams up with Wisin for a notable collaboration.
The record connects Randy, one half of the legendary duo Jowell & Randy, with Wisin, one half of another influential reggaeton partnership, Wisin & Yandel. Their collaboration brings together artists whose careers have been closely tied to the evolution and global growth of Latin urban music.

Randy Ariel Ortiz Acevedo was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on July 16, 1983. His musical journey began in 2001 when he became a member of a church choir in San Juan. That early experience helped him develop the slow, melodic vocal approach that would later become one of his defining characteristics.
His sound was also shaped by influences outside reggaeton. Artists such as The Jackson 5 and Lionel Richie helped inspire his smooth R&B sensibilities, giving Randy a distinctive vocal identity that he eventually carried into Latin urban music.
After forming Jowell & Randy, he established himself as a major figure in reggaeton. The duo went on to become one of the genre’s most recognised acts, building a career that has lasted for two decades and included hit records and performances in arenas around the world.
Randy has also maintained a successful solo career alongside his work with Jowell. In 2015, he released his debut solo album, Roses & Wines, featuring collaborations with Arcángel, De La Ghetto, Álvaro Díaz, Vinny Rivera and Ken-Y. The project gave listeners an opportunity to experience another side of his artistry and highlighted his versatility beyond the duo.
Two years later, Randy followed with Romances de una Nota Vol. 1. The album included songs such as “Loquita” and leaned further into his romantic and melodic instincts. Its sound explored reggaeton alongside bachata and hip-hop, reflecting the broader range that has remained part of Randy’s musical identity.
