Montreal-based Haitian-Canadian rapper, lyricist and producer Hurch is bringing a bold Afro-Caribbean sound to the global stage with his single “Jus de Bouboune,” accompanied by an official music video.
The track combines rhythmic bounce, sharp wordplay and a memorable hook, creating an energetic crossover between rap, Afro-inspired sounds and dancehall. With its playful delivery and unapologetic personality, the song explores attraction, confidence and pleasure while embracing the vibrant spirit of Caribbean culture.
Produced by Ramoon Beats, “Jus de Bouboune” showcases Hurch’s ability to move across musical influences without losing his francophone identity.
The track’s provocative title reflects its playful character, while its rhythmic production and catchy refrain give it an immediate appeal for listeners drawn to contemporary Afro-Caribbean music.
The accompanying music video, directed and edited by Orik4mi, brings the song’s personality to life through vivid colours, citrus-inspired imagery, summer lighting and cheeky symbolism.
The visual approach gives the release a distinctive aesthetic suited to social media and digital music audiences.
Born in Gonaïves, Haiti, and raised in Montreal from the age of six, Hurch developed his artistic voice across the neighbourhoods of Saint-Michel, Montreal-North and Rivière-des-Prairies.
His songwriting journey began at 15, before he started recording music two years later at the youth centre Le Bunker.
Those experiences helped shape an artist whose music reflects his Caribbean roots, Montreal upbringing and independent creative spirit.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the release, Hurch said he wanted to create something fun, confident and impossible to ignore, a record that listeners could dance to, react to and make their own.
With “Jus de Bouboune,” Hurch aims to connect with audiences in Ghana, across Africa and throughout the global diaspora, bringing Montreal’s Afro-Caribbean energy to a wider audience. The single and its accompanying visual mark another step in his journey as an independent artist with a distinctive sound and a fearless approach to expression.
