Chart-topping singer and mental health advocate Meredith O’Connor has officially launched her most ambitious project to date: the international star-studded single, “You Are Not Alone.”
Bringing together a diverse coalition of global music icons, the track serves as a powerful message of solidarity for those struggling with mental health and bullying. In an unprecedented collaboration, O’Connor is joined by legendary Supremes member Mary Wilson, K-Pop sensation Minzy, Afrobeats star Reekado Banks, and viral pop artist Rebecca Black, among many others. The project transcends borders, featuring artists from every continent to reinforce the message that mental health struggles are a universal human experience.
“When I was younger, I felt isolated by my experiences with bullying and OCD,” says Meredith O’Connor. “I wrote this song to be the message I needed to hear back then. To have these incredible artists from all over the world join me shows that no matter where you are or what you’re going through, you truly are not alone.”
The initiative builds upon O’Connor’s extensive work as a Celebrity Youth Activist for the NGOCSD-NY in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Following the success of her TEDx Talk of the same name, this musical release aims to raise funds and awareness for mental health resources globally. The track has already garnered significant industry attention, being recognized for its message of hope and its unique blend of global musical styles. It is currently available for streaming on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
