Danish singer-songwriter and producer AiramFM is out with her latest single, Tears and Blood, a dreamy alt-pop record that explores the strength of genuine love when faced with the difficult moments life can bring.
The song sits comfortably between alternative pop and art pop, wrapped in an atmospheric and cinematic production that gives the track an almost dreamlike quality. AiramFM’s sound carries the melancholic intimacy of artists such as Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish, while still retaining a personal identity shaped by her own experiences.
At the heart of Tears and Blood is the idea that real love is not only present during the easy moments. The song reflects on the pain, challenges and emotional weight that can come with life while holding on to the belief that something genuine can survive those storms.
What makes the release particularly personal is that AiramFM handled virtually every part of its creation herself. The artist, whose real name is Maria Friis Møller, wrote, composed, produced, recorded and mixed and mastered the song from her home studio in her apartment.
That hands-on approach has been a defining part of her journey since she began releasing music independently in 2022. AiramFM has since released 24 singles, developing a catalogue built around dark pop, dreamy soundscapes and emotionally direct songwriting.
Her music often draws from themes of grief, mental health and hope, with her personal experiences providing much of the emotional foundation. After losing her mother to cancer at the age of 23, AiramFM began releasing music as a way of processing her grief, eventually turning that outlet into a continuing artistic journey.
Tears and Blood fits naturally into that world. While the song focuses on love, its atmospheric production and emotional writing give it the depth associated with AiramFM’s wider catalogue. There is a sense of vulnerability in the music, but also an underlying feeling of resilience.
Her work has drawn comparisons to Lana Del Rey and AURORA, particularly for its cinematic atmosphere and dreamy presentation. From more haunting ballads such as Cold Hearts and Set Me Free to rhythmic alt-pop releases including The Impostor and Tears and Blood, AiramFM continues to explore different shades of emotion without losing the intimacy that defines her music.
Away from her solo work, AiramFM is also helping create space for other women in music. She co-founded Hymn of the Goddess, a community for female artists and producers focused on sharing knowledge, supporting one another and building connections. She runs the community alongside fellow artists Dareen and Kailey Wilson.
With Tears and Blood, AiramFM once again turns personal emotion into an atmospheric musical experience. It is a song for listeners drawn to dreamy soundscapes, honest songwriting and music that allows vulnerability and hope to exist in the same space.
