Captured live at the festival in Portimão, Portugal, the newly released videos showcase performances from Wizkid, Tyla, Olamide, and Young Jonn, giving global audiences access to standout sets from one of the world’s biggest celebrations of African music and culture.
The first four performances now available exclusively on Spotify include:
Wizkid – “Ojuelegba”
Tyla – “Is It Love”
Olamide – “Durosoke”
Young Jonn – “Xtra Cool”
An additional eight performance videos will be released in the coming weeks, further extending the Afro Nation experience to fans beyond the festival grounds.
The videos are part of Spotify’s partnership with Afro Nation Portugal 2026, where the platform serves as the festival’s official sponsor and exclusive streaming partner. Through a dedicated Afro Nation destination on Spotify, fans can access festival content, featured artists, and curated performance videos celebrating the global impact of African music.
The collaboration highlights the continued international growth of Afrobeats and African music on streaming platforms. Recent Spotify listening data reflects the worldwide reach of the featured artists, with Tyla’s biggest streaming markets including the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, and the Philippines. Wizkid continues to attract major audiences across the United States, Nigeria, United Kingdom, Mexico, and France, while Olamide’s strongest markets include Nigeria, the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Young Jonn also continues expanding globally, with listeners tuning in from Nigeria, the United States, United Kingdom, Indonesia, and Ghana.
“Afro Nation brings together the artists, fans and culture shaping African music right now and we wanted to help that energy reach people wherever they are,” said Rifumo Mdaka, Content Marketing Manager for Spotify in Sub-Saharan Africa. “By bringing the festival to Spotify, we’re giving fans a place to connect with the performances and stories that define the weekend, long after the final set.”
The Afro Nation Portugal partnership adds to Spotify’s growing collection of exclusive live performance content, following recent releases featuring major global artists including Bad Bunny in Tokyo, Olivia Rodrigo in Barcelona, and Skye Newman in London.
The initiative also reinforces Spotify’s continued investment in African music and storytelling. Through projects such as “Afrobeats: Journey of a Billion Streams,” which explores the genre’s global rise and streaming milestones, and “Afrobeats: Culture in Motion,” which documented the evolution of the sound through film, digital experiences, and fashion, Spotify continues highlighting the cultural influence of African music worldwide.
With exclusive Afro Nation Portugal 2026 performances now available, Spotify is bringing the festival’s atmosphere, artistry, and global celebration of Afrobeats directly to listeners everywhere.
