PDP Lawmaker Hon. Uyi Frank Omosigho representing Oredo East Constituency has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Honorable Omosigho cited internal crises within the PDP in their respective juridation as the major reason for their decision to join the APC.
The lawmaker announced his defection on Saturday, December 13th at the APC Secretariat of Oredo Ward 1 where he was officially welcomed and decorated with APC Party Souvenirs by Party officials.
The move, which further weakens the PDP’s presence in the House of Assembly, attracted members of the Eighth Assembly led by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Osawonyi Atu, alongside other legislators, party leaders, councillors, and supporters.
Omosigho won the Oredo East Constituency 2023 State Houses of Assembly Re- Elections on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
