Road safety remains one of the most pressing public safety concerns, with pedestrians, particularly young people, facing increasing risks on roads every day. Ghanaian influencer and Passionate road safety advocate, Blessing Adoma, is taking action through a new awareness campaign in partnership with The Samuel Whyte Foundation, using education and storytelling to encourage safer pedestrian habits.
The initiative focuses on promoting responsible road use while tackling issues such as jaywalking, distracted walking, and the importance of obeying traffic regulations. Through a compelling digital content series, Blessing hopes to inspire young people to make informed decisions whenever they are on the road.
Using relatable stories, personal experiences, and real-life scenarios, the campaign aims to demonstrate how seemingly small decisions can have life-changing consequences. By presenting road safety in an engaging and accessible way, Blessing hopes to encourage meaningful conversations among young people and help build a stronger culture of responsibility.
Beyond encouraging pedestrians to obey traffic signals and use designated crossing points, the campaign also emphasizes that road safety is a shared responsibility. Every road user, whether a pedestrian, cyclist, or driver, has a role to play in creating safer communities.

Speaking about the initiative, Blessing Adoma emphasized the importance of awareness and collective action. “Road safety begins with each of us. The choices we make every day, no matter how small they seem, can save lives. Through this campaign, I want young people to understand that being responsible on the road isn’t just about protecting themselves, it’s about protecting everyone around them.”
The Samuel Whyte Foundation has remained committed to promoting road safety education and advocacy, working to reduce preventable road accidents through community engagement and public awareness initiatives. Its collaboration with Blessing Adoma represents another important step toward empowering young people with the knowledge and confidence to make safer choices.
As the campaign rolls out, the public is encouraged to follow the series, share its messages, and become active advocates for road safety within their own communities. Together, through education, awareness, and responsible action, safer roads can become a reality for everyone.
