Ghanaian music duo DopeNation has surpassed 80 million streams across all credits on Spotify.
The twin brothers Michael “B2” Boafo and Tony “Twist” Boafo, known for their work as both producers and recording artists, reached the milestone with their catalog of tracks that blend Afrobeats, hiplife, and amapiano influences under their signature Ghanapiano sound.
Their 2025 single “Kakalika” has been a major driver of the streaming numbers. The track, which features energetic rhythms and has drawn international attention, accounts for a substantial portion of the total plays. Other releases, including earlier songs such as “Today,” have also contributed to the cumulative figure.
DopeNation first gained recognition as producers, crafting hits for several Ghanaian and regional artists before establishing themselves as performers. The duo has released projects that explore fusions of Ghanaian musical traditions with contemporary African electronic and dance styles.
The 80 million stream mark reflects continued listener engagement with their music on the platform. DopeNation maintains an active presence with recent releases and ongoing performances.
