Ghanaian superstar Black Sherif continues to solidify his position as a global musical force, topping Spotify’s list of the most-streamed artists in Ghana over the past five years.

Since Spotify’s launch in Africa in February 2021, the platform has highlighted the most-streamed artists and songs across Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana. In Ghana, Black Sherif leads the pack, followed by Nigerian stars Asake and Burna Boy, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, and American rapper Drake, rounding out the top five.

Black Sherif also dominates the most-streamed songs in Ghana, claiming four out of the top five slots with ‘Wotowoto Seasoning,’ ‘Oil On My Head,’ ‘Sacrifice,’ and ‘Konongo Zongo.’ The only exception was Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’, which broke Black Sherif’s streak.

Black Sherif’s record-breaking achievement reflects his sustained impact on Ghanaian music and beyond. Since 2022, he has been the most-streamed Ghanaian artist, consistently connecting with fans through his unique blend of Afrobeats, Drill, and authentic storytelling.

With a growing international audience and a catalog of hits resonating across streaming platforms worldwide, Black Sherif’s dominance on Spotify underscores his status as one of Africa’s most influential contemporary artists.
