Ghanaian-Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Ara Ẹni is stepping into a vibrant new chapter with the release of her uplifting Afrobeats gospel single, For My Matter, available now.
Produced by Daniels Andrew, popularly known as Tbeatz, the song delivers an encouraging message rooted in faith, perseverance, and the belief that God can transform even the most challenging situations. Blending contemporary gospel themes with infectious Afrobeats rhythms, For My Matter serves as both a personal testimony and a soundtrack for anyone holding on to hope during difficult times.
The release arrives at a moment of celebration for many Ghanaians following the Black Stars’ dramatic victory over Panama in their World Cup opener. Drawing inspiration from stories of breakthrough and triumph, Ara Ẹni uses the single to remind listeners that victories often come when they seem least likely.
Alongside the release, Ara Ẹni has launched the Pass the Ball of Hope campaign, a social movement designed to spread positivity, gratitude, and encouragement. Inspired by the spirit of community and support shown by Ghanaians before the Black Stars’ victory, the campaign invites people to share personal testimonies, words of encouragement, dance videos, praise moments, and stories of overcoming challenges while passing the message forward using the hashtag #PassTheBall.
Whether it’s landing a new job, graduating, achieving a personal goal, or simply making it through a difficult season, the initiative encourages people to celebrate every victory and inspire others to keep believing.
Speaking on the campaign, Ara Ẹni shared her pride in the unity displayed by Ghanaians both at home and abroad, emphasizing the importance of supporting one another and maintaining faith regardless of the outcome.
Born Olufunmilola Serwa Babalola, Ara Ẹni is a multi-talented artist whose background spans both music and technology. Raised between Ghanaian and Nigerian cultures, she attended Tema Parents’ Association School and Wesley Girls’ High School before earning a degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her growing catalogue includes songs such as I Just Wanna Worship, To The Girl, and It Was You, all showcasing her heartfelt songwriting and passion for creating music that uplifts and inspires.
