Mawelele and Kwesta reunite on “Ngiyaz’fela,” a new R&B/Afro-pop single released today with gamma, following the success of their previous collaboration, “All My Life.”
Produced by Kinglee Beats, “Ngiyaz’fela” is a declaration of love. The title translates to “I’m in love with you,” setting the tone for a record centred on the directness and simplicity of expressing how you feel.
Mawelele’s emotive vocals and melodic songwriting meet Kwesta’s distinctive lyrical presence, bringing the two artists together once again for a record that blends the warmth of Afro-pop with the intimacy of R&B.
Their previous collaboration, “All My Life,” became a defining moment in Mawelele’s career, amassing more than 19.7 million Spotify streams and 23 million YouTube views, while earning Mawelele a Metro FM Award for Best R&B Song.

“After a 6-month hiatus, being on a feature run, linking up with the big bro Kwesta again to give the people another banger is something that I am excited about. With this song, I want to remind people to still believe in love, to know that being expressive doesn’t make you ‘uncool,’ says Mawelele.
“Ngiyaz’fela” serves as the lead single from Mawelele’s forthcoming album, due later this year, marking the beginning of the next chapter in his musical journey.
With more than 100 million cumulative streams across digital streaming platforms, Mawelele has established himself as one of South Africa’s emerging voices in contemporary Afro-pop and R&B. His growing digital audience includes more than 710,000 monthly Spotify listeners and 770,000 TikTok followers.
His catalogue includes successful collaborations with Naledi Aphiwe, including “Romeo & Juliet,” “Naledi,” “Buya Ekhaya,” and “Come Duze,” alongside his 2025 album Time and ANSWERS EP.
