Haitian DJ, producer, and label executive Francis Mercier has released his latest single “Champagne,” featuring Massala and LexBlaze, a vibrant Afro house record that also serves as a preview of his forthcoming debut album.

Arriving as a high-energy, atmospheric party anthem, “Champagne” brings together North African and South African electronic influences, blending rhythmic percussion, melodic textures, and an expansive global sound. The track reflects Mercier’s signature style, one rooted in cultural fusion, emotional depth, and dancefloor energy.

The collaboration with London-based vocalist and rapper LexBlaze alongside North African DJ and producer Massala results in a record that feels both intimate and borderless. “Champagne” captures the essence of international club culture, designed for peak festival moments while maintaining a soulful, immersive feel.

The single arrives ahead of Mercier’s highly anticipated debut album “Lakay (Home),” set for release on July 14. The project is described as his most personal body of work to date, drawing inspiration from his upbringing in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and his experiences performing across the world.

Meaning “home” in Haitian Creole, Lakay explores the emotional complexity of identity, distance, and belonging, especially from the perspective of an artist constantly traveling between countries and cultures. The album reflects on what “home” becomes when life is lived across global stages.

Both the album and single are released via Mercier’s label Solèy, which means “sun” in Haitian Creole. The label represents a global community centered on multiculturalism, positivity, and connection, reinforcing Mercier’s long-standing commitment to bridging cultures through music.

Beyond his production work, Francis Mercier is also the founder of Deep Root Records and Solèy, platforms that have supported emerging global talent and contributed to hundreds of millions of streams worldwide. His work has played a key role in shaping the modern Afro house movement by blending African, Caribbean, and Middle Eastern influences into a cohesive sonic identity.

With “Champagne,” Mercier continues to expand his reputation as one of the most forward-thinking figures in global electronic music, delivering a track that is both celebratory and deeply rooted in cultural storytelling.
