Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata has recorded more than 30 million global streams on the music platform Audiomack so far in 2026.

The highlife and hiplife artist, known for his distinctive Fante rap style, ranks as the seventh most-streamed Ghanaian act on Audiomack this year. The milestone highlights his sustained appeal among listeners both in Ghana and internationally.

Kofi Kinaata, whose real name is Martin King Arthur, was born on April 15, 1990, in Effiakuma, Takoradi, in Ghana’s Western Region. He rose to prominence with his lyrical dexterity, blending rap, highlife, and local Fante elements, often incorporating humor and traditional proverbs. Fans have long referred to him as the “Fante Rap God.”

His recent releases and consistent catalog performance have contributed to strong streaming numbers throughout the first half of 2026. Audiomack, a platform popular for its focus on emerging and established African artists, has become a key metric for measuring reach in the region.

This achievement comes as Ghanaian music continues to gain global traction, with several domestic acts posting impressive streaming figures early in the year. Kinaata’s body of work, including fan favorites and newer tracks, remains active on playlists and charts across digital services.

The artist has built a career marked by songwriting accolades, including multiple wins as Songwriter of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, and has served in ambassadorial roles, such as Goodwill Ambassador for the UN’s International Organization for Migration.
