Swiss electronic duo Read the News have officially launched their new label RaRaLand Records with the release of “Little Jaguar,” a cinematic and emotionally charged debut that sets the tone for the imprint’s carefully curated sonic direction.
As the first release on RaRaLand, “Little Jaguar” establishes the label’s identity around instinct, precision, and emotional impact. Rather than focusing on volume or rapid output, the imprint is built on selective curation—prioritizing records that carry strong character, lasting feeling, and artistic intention.
The track itself captures the essence of a fleeting but unforgettable encounter. Built around tension, atmosphere, and subtle emotional weight, “Little Jaguar” blends sensual energy with forward-moving club dynamics, creating a sound that feels both intimate and expansive. Read the News transform that emotional snapshot into a record that is immersive, rhythmic, and deeply evocative.
Musically, the duo continue to operate within the intersection of indie dance, melodic techno, and club-focused electronic music. Their signature approach balances emotional depth with functional dancefloor energy, a combination that has helped define their growing presence in the European electronic scene.
Read the News have previously released music on respected imprints such as Adriatique’s Siamese and Innellea’s belonging, while also developing their own catalogue through Read the News Records. Beyond production, the duo are also active curators, shaping musical experiences that extend beyond their own output.
RaRaLand Records reflects that wider artistic philosophy. The label is positioned as a space for exploration and intentional listening, encouraging audiences to engage with music beyond surface-level consumption. Each release is treated as part of a broader narrative rather than a standalone drop.
The debut is further expanded through its visual identity, with artwork created by Read the News in collaboration with Izabela Meldo, who also contributes additional vocals to the release. This collaborative approach extends the world of “Little Jaguar,” reinforcing the duo’s commitment to building immersive, multi-layered artistic experiences.
Formed in Zurich in 2020, Read the News—Lukas Mayer and Ryder Ulmer—have steadily developed their sound through a shared passion for melodic house and techno. Their journey has included performances alongside established electronic acts such as Adriatique, Âme, Maceo Plex, Colyn, and others, strengthening their presence within the global club circuit.
With the launch of RaRaLand Records and the release of “Little Jaguar,” Read the News enter a new creative phase—one that positions them not only as artists, but as curators shaping a distinct sonic world.
